New week, new course. Serenoa Golf Club is located a half mile east of I75 off Clark Road, south on Ibis. Played with a friend and teamed up with a visiting couple from “freezing Minnesota”. A very good course at a very good price…under $50 ( on line ) for round, cart, tax AND breakfast AND lunch with two beers. Beat that. Played from the blues at 6,333 and shot a modest 83…but won. Florida Golf News named Serenoa one of the top 100 golf courses in Florida. Water on most holes, and scenic throughout.

They offer a very interesting “Players Club” membership…which would work for locals or snow birds. For $29 per month ( cancel at any time ) you get to play for just $17 ( after 1 pm ) on any day. It also includes free range use and and a free Wednesday morning clinic at 11am. Plus a free handicap service …plus 12 Taylor Made Penta golf balls upon joining! It’s kind of like a glorified range membership with afternoon privileges. It would pay for itself after just one afternoon round !

The homes are set far back from play. In viewing distance of course, but away from the action, by and large. Predominantly built in the 90’s although some homes were constructed in the early 2000’s. Only single family, all 3 if not 4 bedrooms. There are presently 11 homes offered for sale…from a low of $460,000 to a high of $749,000. There have been 6 sales in the last 6 months…from a low of $475,000 to a high of $710,000. The average sale was for $475,000 or $144 per square foot. Call or e-mail me for more information on the golf course or home options.
