Played UPCC yesterday. Shot a 76 from the white tees…6,223 yards. Played with a former client ( who purchased a home there in 2009 ) and remains thrilled with both the home and golf facilities. This is a 27 hole, gated golf course community situated just west of Honore on University Parkway. Consistently ranked among the top 10 semi-private courses on the Gulf Coast. It was in terrific condition and pace of play was excellent. Started at 8am sharp and finished at noon.
Come May 1, there is a six month summer membership available for $500 plus tax. Yes, that’s right. For just $500 plus a $20 cart fee per outing, one can enjoy three exceptional nine’s as often as one wants to play.
University Park has semi-detached 2 bed 2 bath homes from the low $200’s and has single family homes ranging anywhere from the low $300’s right on up to homes well north of the $1 million mark. Something for everyone. One excellent feature about the community is that it is the best local golf course community for rentals. If you are an owner who only spends a few months a year in Sarasota, this community is always looking for rentals as the demand far exceeds the supply.
