What a testament to the quality and desirability of membership. With other local private clubs experiencing a shrinking membership and actively advertising for new blood, the Oaks has announced that they are just 19 golfers short of their full capacity of golfers.
At the July meeting open to all equity, social, golf, tennis and dining members, the following was announced. There were presently 140 Associate members ( those full time golfers who live “off campus”) and 521 Equity golfing members ( property owners). This total of 661 leaves them just 19 shy of their full 680 capacity. Needless to say, this level of membership leaves the club in enviable financial condition. The meeting included announcements regarding the complete installation of the clubs new A/C system, a beautification of the entryway with numerous mature Oak trees and a complete revamping of the croquet/botchee ball court.
