Played in the annual Member-Guest event on Thursday & Friday of this week at the OAKS CLUB . We were paired against 5 other two man teams in the single digit 1st flight. Of five 9-hole matches we won three, lost one and tied one. Good enough for 2nd place… but no cigar…or prize money.
There were no increases this year to the annual dues for both associate members and full equity members at The Oaks Club ( off of Tamiami Trail in Osprey ). The Equity Membership has an initiation fee of $65,400 of which $43,000 is refundable. Annual dues remained at $7,255 plus $65 per month service charge. ( The Oaks is a non tipping club.) Any property owner must join as a full equity member or as a social member. This type of membership has a non-refundable initiation fee of $40,000 and annual dues of $5,355 plus the monthly tipping charge. Social membership includes participation in all sports ( except golf during season ) and all dining and social events sponsored by the club.
