Returned to The Founders Club last Friday with a client from Seattle ( yes…Seattle). We were treated royally by club manager Hugh O’Donnel. Excellent lunch and golf round followed by a home tour…this gentleman’s third trip to the community.
The real estate deals here are, in a word, amazing. We saw one home at 9308 McDaniel Lane that was offered at $714,000. A four bedroom, four bath, 4,323 ft under air with a lake view with wonderful upgrades…which will likely sell in the high $600’s. This home, back in 2006, was purchased for $1,545,000…so we are looking at more than a 50% pricing drop. And it was in virtually move in condition. Same for a home we saw at 3348 Founders Club Drive…another four bedroom, four and a half bath, 5,370 feet under air…offered at $890,000. The taxable value of this home only three years ago was over $1.4 million. My how times have changed.
And as the home prices have dropped substantially, the golf course has improved substantially. Much more mature and in wonderful condition. The greens were newly punched, but even that did not distract from our enjoyment. Just a wonderful golf experience.
