It’s been awhile since my last blog on Palm-Aire Country Club ( see November 22/2009 post) but a new program makes this club worth revisiting. In today’s Sarasota Herald Tribune ( April 11/2010) an advertisement boasts the following offer. Golfers can join the club for 6 months ( May through October ) and play unlimited golf on either course ( The Lakes or Champions ) for…wait for it…$500 + cart fees. So think about this…for $83 per month you can play golf ’til you drop ( 3 day advance tee times ) plus get full access to their fitness, pool, social events and dining facilities. That’s pretty impressive value for one of the original courses in Sarasota built back in the mid 1950’s.
The community spans over 1400 acres in 27 neighborhoods with over 2400 homes in all sizes and price ranges. One can get a condo or town home in the mid $100’s and can go up into the $600’s in single family homes. Very comparable to The Meadows in value and proximity to downtown Sarasota and Lido and Siesta Key beaches. Call me for more info on housing choices or for full membership rates.
