Anna Maria Island is about a 40 minute drive from downtown Sarasota. It’s a fun drive over the Ringling bridge, a quarter circle on St.Armands, then over the bridge from Lido Key to Longboat Key. After driving approximately 12 miles along Longboat, crossing over the north bridge you have arrived. Beautiful turquoise water, party boats anchored on the sandbar and gorgeous white sand beaches – you can’t help but feel the laid back Island atmosphere.
With it’s wonderful restaurants, shops, picturesque streets and tropical feel. It’s no wonder why Anna Maria Island makes Forbes prettiest towns list.
We love going up to Anna Maria Island for Bridge Street, funky gift shops on the north end and favorite,toes in the sand, restaurant –Sandbar for sunset.
